Red Dior Flowering Gums

I absolutely love the drama of this beautiful red straw, hand blocked into a classic Dior shape with its sweeping wide brim and beautifully simple crown.

The flowering gums are all handmade by me from layers of fine red crinoline, with tiny yellow stamens tucked amongst the petals. I’ve picked up that little touch of yellow again with a narrow braid around the crown - just enough contrast against all that glorious red.

Despite its dramatic size, it’s a beautifully balanced hat and surprisingly easy to wear. Perfect for the races, a special occasion or simply for someone who believes a fabulous hat should never go unnoticed.

As always, it has been hand blocked, trimmed and finished by me in my Possum Ball studio in the Macedon Ranges.
